GOLF BALLS

In golf B2B trade, the stability of product quality directly determines the brand’s market credibility.
However, in the face of the dazzling array of products on the market, how to jump out of the marketing rhetoric and distinguish whether a ball is a “factory qualified product” or an “industry excellence product” through a scientific dimension?
In fulisport’s quality control system, we recommend that B-end customers conduct on-site evaluations from the following five core dimensions.
A well-made ball whose surface should be the perfect combination of brand vision and aerodynamics.
Lacquer and gloss: Observe the refraction of the sphere in bright light.
Qualified ball paint should be even, no flow hanging, no pinholes.
Excellent balls have excellent lacquer fullness and anti-yellowing ability, and long-term storage can still maintain a clear visual sense.
Seam treatment: Observe the lines at the mold closure.
Mediocre balls have a distinct seam or burr feel; exceptional balls are ‘seamlessly wrapped’, with a recessed arrangement that spans the parting line, ensuring symmetry between the left and right when flying.
Dimples Sharpness: Excellent mold impresses dimples with clear edges and consistent depths.
If the edge of the cavity is blurred, it means that the mold has aged or the pressure control is unstable, which can directly lead to instability of the flight trajectory.
Golf is a game about tolerances.
While the USGA and R&A set a lower limit, exceptional manufacturers strive for consistency with the upper limit.
Consistency of weight and diameter: Qualified balls only need to meet the standard (weight ≤ 1.62 oz, diameter ≥ 1.68 in).
However, for excellent balls, the weight deviation within the batch should be controlled within ± 0.5g.
This extreme standardization ensures that the putter force does not need to be readjusted when replacing a new ball.
This is the most core and hardest to find indicator to distinguish between ordinary qualified products and top excellent products.
Golf balls are made up of layers.
If the ball core is slightly offset (i.e. eccentric) during the cladding process, the center of gravity of the ball will be out of balance.
How it works: In the lab, we do cross-sectional cuts or X-ray scans. An excellent golf ball should have an almost constant core-to-skin distance over a 360-degree range.
Eccentric balls produce irregular shaking when flying in the air, and even professional players can’t hit the expected landing point.
The compressive hardness determines the fit of the hand to the distance.
Qualified product: Able to provide clear hardness identification (such as 70, 80 or 90).
Excellent product: It can ensure that the hardness deviation of the whole box (12 pieces) or even the whole box ball is controlled within ± 3 points.
This means that regardless of which ball the client pulls out of the bag, their hitting feedback is exactly the same at the moment of hitting, which is crucial to establishing the player’s ‘batting rhythm’.
Authentic performance must be hit tested.
Shear Resistance: Use a large angle pick lever for full force strikes.
Qualified balls should not have a ruptured exterior; excellent balls (especially the Urethane exterior) should exhibit extreme toughness and not be prone to hair growth or scratches while providing ultra-high inversion.
Coefficient of Recovery (CoR): This is a hard measure of “energy transfer”.
Excellent manufacturing process can make the initial speed of the ball when it leaves the rod face closer to the theoretical upper limit through a more accurate vulcanization formula.
Identifying a ball’s quality depends not only on how it looks on the shelf, but also on how it performs in the laboratory data and in the actual battle of the greens.
“Qualified” represents the production bottom line, and “excellent” represents the awe of every yard distance, every degree of trajectory.fulisport always insists on speaking with data, because in the B-end business, only impeccable consistency can be translated into long-term trust of customers.
As a one-stop service provider for golf products, Fulisport offer both regular wholesale supply and OEM/ODM customization capabilities, and its core advantage lies in the ability to realize customers' creative solutions.
